Founded in 2000
Ciego del Rey is a relatively young Winery, so it dates back of the year 2000. It is composed by three partners that there constitute the third generation of two traditional families of vine-growers and butlers of Alfaro's Riojan region.
As consequence of the problems derived from the stability of the areas in those who were located the Wineries, these had to be demolished.
After several years, together with other vine-growers, Alfaro's former Cooperative was started, and already in the year 2000 our ideas were put into practice: to bet for a Winery with own grapes of quality and personalized wines.
