Bodegas Castillo de Mendoza

Founded in 1994

The foundation of Wineries Castillo de Mendoza goes back a year 1994, when the family Mendoza-Cadarso, descendant of several generations of vine-growers, it decides to re-undertake the familiar tradition and to fulfill one of his dreams: to open his own Winery.

The Winery is located in Riojan locality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra , of which the family is original, located in La Rioja Alta and recognized all over the world by the extraordinary quality of his broths and his centenary wine tradition.

A former distillery of the 17th century rehabilitated and conditioned for his new use will receive the first years of life of the Winery.

With the time, the zeal for obtaining the best quality for the production and upbringing of his wines, does that the family constructs a new Winery in the acquaintance Paraje of San Juan, to the side of a former mill, at the foot of the castle medieval and surrounded with his own vineyards.

Endowed with the best technology, the new Winery, with 2.800 square meters, aúna the modernity of his facilities with a fret of casks excavated in alive rock following the centenary tradition of this emblematic Riojan region.
