Founded in 1985

Already in 1950 Ramon Castaño Santa, son and grandson of vine-growers, had constructed a Winery and was starting extending the familiar vineyards. Later, in 1975, he acquires his first vineyards in the place of ' The Grosses '.

To beginnings of the 90, already built-in his three children, Ramon, Juan Pedro and Daniel to the equipment of the Winery, begins the international gait. The dip on new markets provokes the need of a major technological development of the facilities in favor of the quality and a major competitiveness.

In 2002, a new ship of storage is constructed by 3.000 m2 in two plants totally climatizadas, that includes a bottle rack for upbringing in bottle with capacity for 500.000 units in sleeping and a chamber of cold for maceration pre-fermentativa.

There happens gradually the acquisition of the equipments of maceration, stabilization and vinificación more modern on the market and the lines of production are improved gradually by the most practical systems of bottling, labelling and packaging.

The technological progression is associated with the only parameter in Wineries Castaño: the quality. Of there that the evolution continues being a reality in all the aspects: vineyard, Winery and market, being today relating in the wine sector of the Spanish south-east.
