Wineries Briego it is a family enterprise founded by three brothers (Gaspar, Fernando and Francisco Javier Benito Hernando), in the year 1988, which always has tried to do a wine of the highest quality, of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. After ten years elaborating wine, they rely on big national and international prizes
The Winery, situated in Fompedraza, a people with wine tradition, began his gait with the recovery and plantation of 30 hectares of new vineyards in the municipal areas of Fompedraza, Peñafiel, Curiel and Pesquera de Duero. In the year 1992, his dream turns actually of elaborating wine in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
This way, today from the vineyard, Wineries Briego select the grape, depending on his characteristics, color, concentration, degree, tannin, acidity, etc. And of this selection they elaborate 6 types of wine, all of them in wood of oak: Briego Roble (young woman and fruit tree); Time Briego (fruit-bearing, concentrated and spicy wine, with character of reservations to enjoy from his youth up to his maturity); Briego Crianza (intense and concentrated. Noble wood and red fruits); Briego Reserva (red intense in slow evolution it caresses the step along mouth being opened slowly); Briego Fiel (it came from special selection and concentration) and Great Briego Fiel Reserves (complex, lordly and beefy).
The Winery has small, but very distributed production, since his clients are demanding and lovers of the quality (as it says his slogan, we speak of " Briego, a wine with character "); likewise, six types of wine that it commercializes, satisfy to a clients' wide range in the whole world (national Sale: 30 % and Export: 70 %).
