Founded in 1950
The family Barreto leads more than one century dedicated to the viticulture in Lanzarote. Ángel Barreto Viera is the current owner and the director of one of the wineries that it was born in 1950 with a modest production of 200 liters. The vineyards of The Geria and of Masdache give life to his more valued wines: Malvasía Seco and Diego El Campesino.
The varieties that nowadays it commercializes wineries Barreto are the White Semisweet Malvasía wine and Dry, Stained Young, Liquor of Muscatel and Liquor of Malvasía wine. These last two broths have been rewarded respectively with the prize Alhóndiga 1996, 1997 and 1998. In what concerns the destination of his annual production, since it happens with the majority of the wineries, his markets are that of insular area and in the different islands.
