Bodegas Altona

Founded in 2002

The recent history of Wineries Altona begins in 2002. Our name arises from the merger of the words "high place" (in Castilian) and "ona" ("good" at Basque). With them we try to represent,
1. On one hand, the region in the one that is our Winery (Rioja Discharge) and,
2. For other one, the quality of these lands and the wines that take place in them.

In spite of our youth we have imposed ourselves a difficult challenge, to place between the top Wineries inside such a competitive and demanding D.O. Qualified Rioja. For it we will rest on three fundamental props:

1. Our professionalism, so much in the way of being employed like at the interpretation of the wine potential.
2. The own personality that we stamp on each of our wines, joining innovation and tradition.
3. Our commercial, both national and international network, that allows us to make come our wines to the final consumer in ideal conditions.

We put all our passion in the culture of the wine taking care of the grapevines where our wines germinate. For it we do not forget, nevertheless, that to be able to offer a wine of high quality not only is necessary an excellent soil, but also a process of production developed with meticulousness.

Our form of work aúna the care of a handcrafted production with the most modern technologies. We have a capacity of more than 50.000 liters in Wineries of stainless steel, where the wine rests in the best conditions.
