Bodegas Alicia Rojas

Founded in 1920

The origin of this property dates back of 1920, when D. Gonzalo Rojas began in the world of the wine: it was raising in barrels and casks of oak, wines of so exceptional quality, that French merchants were moving only to acquire it. Later he bought the Marquess of Legarda a great extension of Mediterranean coppice (1000 Hectares) that was using as estate of hunt.

After so many years, his descendants, of Dona Alicia Rojas's hand, continue dedicated to the art of the viniculture, with his particular philosophy of production and preserving the same care of long ago.

In an environment favoured for the culture "Collado de la" (La Rioja), Wineries ALICIA ROJAS (before Successors of Gonzalo Rojas, S.A.) It destines a part of the vineyard (20 Hectares) to the ecological culture, which allows only credits of organic origin and treatments with authorized products, in order to respect the environment.

The wines here elaborated are qualified, selected and supervised by the Regulatory Advice of the D.O. Rioja.

Under the brand SOLARCE this Winery commercializes red wines of the year, upbringing and ecological wine; with another brand, COLLADO DE LA ESTRELLA, whites are distributed, stained, pink and upbringing, directing his broths selectively to vinotecas, restaurants ... of Spain and exporting to USA and to countries of the European Union.

The future aim of Wineries ALICIA ROJAS is to turn into a TOTALLY ECOLOGICAL ESTATE with regard to his other products, also: cereals and olive trees.
