Winery fullly established in his zone, the Val de Monterrei, the D.O. still for discovering between all the wine regions of Galicia. Monterrei shares the culture of autochthonous varieties with other neighboring zones: Godello with Valdeorras, Treixadura with Ribeiro or Mencía with the Ribeira Sacra, and it is the only one of the Galicians whose territory belongs to the basin of the Douro, still without losing the oceanic influence of other. It is in this crossing of reasons where it bases his principal attraction and also his potential development.
The principal brand of the Winery, Pazo de Monterrey, takes the name of the palace - strength that dominates the place, an impressive acropolis which more ancient building dates back to the 12th century.
