Founded in 1998
Wineries Palmera is founded in 1998 by Heiner Sauer, vine-grower and wine-producing German of Pfalz's region; it was fixed in Utiel-Requena by advice of a compatriot and acquired a vineyard with the ambition of doing a few wines different from those of his environment. The Winery placed in the traditional neighborhood of the Wineries of The Rebollar is endowed well, but it is of minimal dimensions, even for the limited production of the signature. His movement is foreseen to the own estate.
The vineyard property of the Winery, of which it obtains the totality of the raw material, is placed in Utiel and has a total extension of 14 Hectares, which are planted today with tempranillo (almost 50 %), bobal (25 %) cabernet sauvignon and a little of merlot (the above mentioned, of recent plantation); it is cultivated under the procedure of the ecological agriculture. The best wine of the house, L'Angelet, is elaborated by 2 Hectares of tempranillo older (it dates back of 1965), planted on glass and with very low performance.
