Bodega Los Barrancos

This cellar comes from a cooperative that was created in this area Alpujarra-Contraviesa, to jointly develop and wine of this region. The idea did not work as good, especially for the 'cooperation' between donors (partners). When collapsed was sold to Peter Hilgard and his wife Isabel del Olmo, who came from Germany to buy wine in this district (they are dedicated to market wines), and thus became masters of their own winery.
The author of these quality wines is the winemaker Cesar Ortega. He takes great care of the vineyard, personally azufra 8 hectares and produces its wines at a height of 1,250 m. Its traditional wine (since 2000 enjoyed it) is the Corral de Castro.
