The history of Dominio Buenavista, winery producing wines Veleta, is that of a dream that began in the Napa Valley in sunny California. A alpujarreño, Juan Palomar, fell in love with the wines and thought to bring his native county, passing through countless journeys so that even reached the cold Denmark. The first vineyard was planted in the iconic 1992, and faith that in that year there was a discovery of America in reverse. From Santa Rosa reached 14,000 Ugíjar yolks vines, a winery germ which soon achieved major international awards.
In fact, its award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon has achieved gold medals at the congress of wines of Andalusia and silver in San Francisco (USA), competing with 1,200 wineries and being the only Spanish winery that has won a prize in this range . Furthermore, the Chardonnay, also from Napa Valley, has won the award for Best Wine of the Alpujarra and best white wine of Granada. The winery has managed fourteen gold medals and a silver in various national and international competitions in the past year.
